There's No Place Like Home...

What constitutes your home? Is it where your stuff is? Where your family is? Significant other? Or was it where you were born and raised? I guess when you are little, your home is so much different, because your home is the only home you know. I have had many “homes” in my lifetime. I guess I cannot tell you where I feel at home the most, but I sure can tell you where I do not feel at home, and when I need to be closer to the feeling of home.

I have to have that feeling of home to survive. I truly have enjoyed my stay at Disney, but, I am back on my journey through my long yellow brick road and know that I need to be home. I miss my family, friends, pets, and of course, my Aaron. It is hard to go away, and I do believe absence makes the heart grow fonder. If you are ever starting to take the people and things in your life for granted, move away from them and see how badly you miss them.

So I have been home for about a week and a half now, tying up many loose ends. When I moved to Florida, I sold a bunch of my stuff, moved out of a big house in Flagstaff, and left a job. So, right now, I am at my mom and dads, waiting for my car to be brought up from Flagstaff, and waiting for our condo to be ready to live in. So, lots of waiting. My new job at H&M begins on Monday and I am excited to get back to work (even though this week and a half off was a nice break!).

It has been great seeing all of my friends again and doing all the things I had taken for granted. Like seeing my grandparents, eating at Paradise Bakery, and hiking Pinnacle Peak. Things I would have never missed unless I knew the worth of water.
